About Skye

work of heart photo

Skye Hardwick Edmonds is the emotive childhood photographer behind Work of Heart Photography™ and author of The Workshop Workbook for photographers. She has taught 40+ photography workshops around the country since 2007.

She believes photography is about more than the relationship between light and shadows — there is an undeniable heart-connection between an artist, the subject and their images. This connection is essential to create images that are authentic and awe-inspiring.

Known as the children’s photographer who drags vintage furniture outdoors for sessions; Skye wholeheartedly believes an old building, complete with peeling paint, will make the perfect backdrop for a portrait.

She resides in the ever-sunny Southern California with her husband and son. She's a homeschooling mom with a heart for God and the countryside. You can often find her out with her chickens, listening to 90's Mariah Carey or helping others by teaching them natural health.
